Kitestuff.nl is going to sponsor me with a new kiteboard, ,...not a normal one, but a sit-kiteboard.

This is going to be shaped especially for me, if all works well, I hope to get on the water asap to train,...

 

Train for what ? ,....well what about crossing the Englisch channel !!,.....this is my next goal,..

 

After several years of racing on the highest level, Personal speed records on the drylakes in Las Vegas,..3 years in a row,...Also a EC 4th ranking in 2012,...I think it is time to do something more now.

 

Peter Lynn Kites will provide the Kites,

Kitestuff.nl will provide the board,

Xxtreme will make the structure on the board,..

 

Only thing I need is to train, train and train,..to get myself prepared to do the trip.

I will certainly never stop Kite buggying, but this is my personal extention of the kitesport ..with a handicap,.

European Championships Hoylake 5-9 September

Hi there,

To long ago since I posted something here on my blog !,.....preparing of the EC's at Hoylake is taking lots of time, aswell as my holidays with family !....

For you information, next week the 4th we are heading with the Dutch Team to the EC's to compete with the euro top pilots, and it is always fun to stay in the UK with the brits !.

I try to keep you all posted, but I cannot promise.....

2nd Place overal rankings @ Dutch Nationals 2010/2011

Finally after 16 races we closed the series for 2010/2011....
result is that I became 2nd in the overal rankings and Arie became 1st, so he is the new Dutch champion !.

NABX 2011,..almost finished,....packing gear,..

Yep, that was it,. NABX 2011,...our good friend Dean Jordan ( organiser NABX) become sick after the first day with some heart problems, luckly the Doctor in the Hospital helped him wel, and were monitoring him closely, I do not know the exact details from what is going on,but they said that he could leave the hospital next theusday, Get well soon Dean we missed you on the playa !!!!

Further on, no specials things happened, this is another NABX as we are used to, not much wind,just fun with cruising and partying in the evening,...Marijn, our rep. from Peter Lynn products shot some very nice pictures, can't wait to see them all !!. hereunder you find some pictures from our morning session this morning on the last day , just before we packed our gear. at 5 o'clock Arjen woke us up as there was a lot of wind blowing ,...so ,we went to the playe in the dark, and yes wind was popping up !!,. Arje did a run with a speed of "only"96 km/h, when the wind dropped, and it was gone... during the day it picked up a bit and we were paking our gear,... as it need to be back for shipping,.

So, this was a great event again, we didn't heb the opportunity to go realy fast, but maybe next year,..
By this we want to thank Ricardo and Maria, for the best support one can get, !! awesome guys, we love you ! We also want to thank the complete NABX team for all their efforts, to make tih gerat event, even bigger then last year !!, and Dean , get well soon bro !, we missed you !,...Lenka thanks for the great editing and support you gave us !...

NABX 2011,..uuuh Day 4 ?? or something ?!?,...

So, forgeting wich day it is, I looked out of the window and yes,.......no wind,.. again,... so we were up for a relax session on the playa, during the day normally the wind comes up a bit, but, I think today wil be a day for meeting more pilots and more beer !.

Yestyerdag we played a bit around with some kites, but all just for fun, no real speeds ...

What the hell is this for are buggy ?!?

NABX 2011, day 1,...."the Broken M20"

well, here we are at last, after a long journey, with also a motor faillure in a boeing 767-400, we finaly arived, the faillure was buy yhe way on the ground, so, we needed to change planes,...

The next day we were on the playa and start building and meeting people up , shaking hands etc.. finaly we build up our gear and started to play, damn, It is always a surprise how hard and hazardous the surface is !!, need to get used to it in the next couple of days,...

Marijn from vliegerop made about 400 shots with his new camera gear, and they look great.
The freestyle guys, Jeroen Pigmans and John Penders hitted it with the new freestyle buggy from Xxtreme, and they had a blast.

O yes, before I forget,...after a couple of runs, I did a turn, and my M20 bolt broken off, ...yes M20,.. sheared right off, I was glad not at high speed,....everthing is fixed now, but now angled bolts now,..

It is now 5.15 in the morning, and I cannot sleep, so do some typing,...

Special "Constrictor Knot"




















The knot used for the grips is the so called "contrictor knot", as seen below how to make it.
When tighten the knot, it is almost impossible to loosen it, so it is important to adjust the harnes cord in you correct lenght, after that ,pull to tighten, then make you upper lines as short as possible, so that during looping , you also do not have any conflicts with the knots.

What's nexxt ?,  first things first,...buzy during evening hours with the Xxtreme factorys,.. and preparation for the nexxt event,...yep NABX 2011 !!....looking forward to it again. See all pilots from US,Canada,GB,Isr,New Zealand, Australia, etc.. again,...some nice shocars ,..an shots offcourse.. and our little Asian guy, Maria with all thier friends,..and also not to forget, our granddad, Monty and his wife,. .. !

24 December, stunning speeds on Ice !!

Yep, we went again on the Ice, !!,...high winds, new Vapors,...better then this is impossible !, This was my first try with my new Vapors as I recieved them from the Boss earlier that morning,...
We did runs constantly over 80/90 km/h,...and sure enough Arie was the fastest of the day with a stunning speed of 99,5 km/h ,..I think he is now also the Fastest Ice Kitebuggyer on the planet !,..Me myself did a run of 91 km/h , and I had to leave earlier, do to a Christmass diner,...Joost was also ripping hard, and did a nice 92,4 km/h ,..way to go guys !!.....next time ,...I want to beat that 100 km/h mark,.... :)

Cold Cold and Cold,..ice buggying..

On 19 dec-2010 we went on the ice again
There was about 2 cm snow on the surface , to have a smooth run Ruud made higher blades to cut the snow
( they worked out really well )
The wind was about 3 or 4 knots and the max. speed of the day was 62.8 km/h flying the Vapor 13.4
Arjen did a 55 km/h run with a 16.1 Vapor. thanks Jort for the pictures !!

Xxtreme Ice Buggying 4 dec.2010

Live your life to the xxtremest, gives us another dimension, when seeing this videoclip.
We went to the north of Holland to try our Ice blades again, lots of wind, and a -5 °C,..

Windchill -15°C, I had a giant OBE (Out of Buggy Experience) , and am broozed all the way, but , what the heck, it's a xxtreme sport ! Top speed of 86,3 km/h.

Cold Races @ Ouddorp for the Nationals 27/28 nov

At a temperature of 0 and -3°C we had races last weekend of november on Ouddorp,...pffeww, that was damn cold. I hmanaged to place 2nd in the first race and 4th in the second, On sunday just not enough wind to go for a official race, so overal I became 3th place !, this is good for my overal rankings.

This was my last race weekend with my " old" Vapors, the new set is on the way, so I hope to have them before the end of the year...

It's getting colder,....So gentle people, get you sh#t together !!

Wel, like I said before, get your skates out of the box or, order them now !, as winter is coming.
New lasercutted skates are on the shelve, so we are ready for winter.

This year we want to take a look outside the borders also, maybe Poland,germany ?, if somebody know a good place to set a Ice speed record ,..... just let me now on info@ozzproducts.com , maybe the Xxtreme Team will be present then !.

Windy Day at Holland, Ijmuiden Beach,....

Today, we went to the beach, as the weatherforecast "promised"us high winds,...so, we had high winds for sure !! ,  ariving at Ijmuiden beach, it was clear that we needed our disc wheels ( yep, those Haan Wheels).
So much water on it , that it was not possible to run with BF tyres.

We had windforce 8 to 9 and used the Vapor 2.7, result for that day was a topspeed of 99.1 km/h for me and Arie 98,7 km/h also with the Vapor 2.7,.....fastest kite and buggy of the world, Xxtreme Apexx with PL Vapor ! whoop whoop,...kiteloop !  :)

Yes, things are changing at the Xxtreme Factorys,..
Ruud is going to concentrate completely on builing Buggys and Accesories, so me (Jeroen aka Ozzy) is going to take care of the complete sales and marketing of all Xxtreme Products in Europe.

John Jansen & Carien vd Meulen World Champion Kitebuggy !

Wel,...finally back after a great week at De Panne for the 2010 World Championships Kitebuggy.
The first race I myself became first, so I was very exited for the rest of the races, as this is very promising, second race I was 8th, and thirt race I became 3th,...so after 3 races I was 3th place overal,....pfffew,..not bad !. so also 3th place of that day :

Then the next day we had wind from land, so very, very gusty, but what the hell, it's the world series, so these are the best of the best pilots. First race, I gained it to 5the place, and just befor the finish my kite collapsed, brake line came under my wheel and got damaged, but I was able to go on. After 300 meters my brake line broke and I became 44th !!, damn !...now everybody knows again why they called me Ozzy !!, second race very gusty winds, and lots of collapsing kites, so I became 27th that race, 3th race was so dangerous that they canceled the race just after the start,...that was a good decision, due to the fact that not all pilots were that experienced...... Finally I became 7th overal at the Wolrd Championships,...if if ,yes if,...I dind't broke my brake line, I was probably higher in the rankings, even in the top 3,...so that was a bit of a bummer for me !,...thats racing, next time better !!!...

And not to forget our one and only Lady,

And Holland team was also 1st place for the country winnings !

For now,....ready for the next one !!

And offcourse not to forget our Canadian friend Ricardo Lui,..he become 54th place, not bad for a first timer !! way to go Ricky !
